The Alicante Airport during the month of June has recorded the largest number of passengers in its history.

Located 9 km southwest of Alicante, the Alicante Airport which is originally called as El Altet Airport, in the month of June has recorded over 880,000 travelers, who have used the Car Hire Alicante Airport . The airport has recorded total number of passengers who were counting up to 4, 180, 169 in the course of the first six months of the year, which is 3.5 percent more when compared with the same period in the last year.

Gema Amor who is the General Manager of the Costa Blanca Tourist Board has said that “the El Altet airport has put forward an exclusive opportunity to showcase and put on view, all the resources and the tourism products on offer on the Costa Blanca.”

She has also acknowledged that “within the terminal, the office has a strategic location and it is the first point of information the visitors will find when they will travel to this region, by air. And this will be the first picture observed by the tourists visiting the Costa Blanca.”

Main position will be given to the new tourist office in the airport to take advantage of the rise in the arrivals to the area.
